Inspired by Praying in Color, I recently drew this coloring page to use as a prayer station during worship at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Starkville, MS. Keep reading for station instructions the way we used it, print and color just for fun, or make up a whole new way to reflect!

Read Matthew 3:1-6.

To open this time of prayer, write a name for God or Jesus in the sun. (Lord, God, Creator, Jesus, etc.)

Even when we try to keep our focus on God, there are lots of things competing for our attention along the way. In the speech bubbles, write things that get in the way of your faith, or are more challenging influences in your life. (This could include personal things such as social media, work, or classmates, or bigger scale influences such as current events and wider issues.)

Remembering the ways John the Baptist pointed early believers to Jesus, on the pathway, write people, things, or practices that help point you toward God. (Like your family, specific prayer practices, or time spent in nature.)

Color in the shapes as you lift your reflections to God.
