My artistic adventure this time was to craft an image related to DCPC’s Lent devotional theme, proclaimed by the organizers to be “I Believe.” Before I say more about what you see, I think it’s worth mentioning some bits about how we got here.
Me when I heard the theme: “Oh okay cool, yeah that makes a lot of sense for a devotional.” Me five minutes later: “Waiiit a minute, what does ‘I Believe’ actually look like?” Continue reading “I Believe”
I’ve never really been a fan of official New Year’s resolutions. But here we are kicking off another trip around the sun — and this year I’m determined to make more and to write more. I made myself a sticker chart for motivation, so there’s no going back now.

But as I reflected on the rest of it, I found one of the most striking parts to be the way the psalmist so explicitly names all of the things they’re up against. Evildoers devouring flesh, adversaries and armies encamped. War and false witnesses breathing out violence…

I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

It’s Jesus’s bday month, and that means it’s time to wrap some presents! (Also if you’re Christian, maybe church or something?) Recently I read an article on repurposed wrapping and thought I’d give it a try. If you can hold a glue stick and safely operate scissors, you can do this. Promise.
